[ Love at First Sight Review Netflix ] Starting well on an airplane, but after turns into a boring formula.

Although this may seem like another typical Netflix romantic movie that gets churned out every month and often follows the same old formula, this one has a standout feature in that it’s based on the bestselling novel ‘The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight.’ This makes the story more appealing than. It revolves around two lead characters who meet on a plane and share a six-hour journey, taking roughly 30 minutes to create that classic romantic ‘love at first sight’ moment. The film includes small in-flight events that foster exchanges of life experiences, and although the chemistry between them is not overly charismatic, it still manages to convey the genuine feeling of a first encounter of love. Which makes this the best romantic scene of the movie

 

After landing at their destination, both of them returned to their usual routines. They separated, but they still thought about each other. Eventually, the woman decided to leave her father’s upcoming wedding to find her own leading man, just like her parents did. Before facing disappointment, the man also came back to look for her, which was surprisingly easy with almost no obstacles at all. Even though knew this was just a romantic comedy movie on Netflix, it still left wanting Netflix to stop making repetitive plots like this one.

In the story, they attempted to add small secrets from the lives of the main character’s parents. The male lead’s parents a long-married couple, but one of them was suffering from a serious illness. On the other hand, the female lead’s parents were a divorced who had remarried. Even though the movie tries to build up these two things as important and turns them into a looming fear in the minds of both characters who must overcome them, it doesn’t really elevate the story because the movie only spends a brief amount of time on this aspect.

However, despite the repetitive main storyline, the movie still has some redeeming qualities. There are characters who serve as narrators for various events, akin to Cupid, the god of love, who takes on different professions in many of the encounters the main characters experience. character is portrayed by Jameela Jamil , and she delivers a more intriguing and standout performance than the film’s main couple.

 

The movie starts off fairly well, with an interesting and romantic first encounter on an airplane. However, after that, the film falls into the same old Netflix formula, which has become quite stale. Despite trying to inject small, minor twists, it doesn’t really work. The main couple lacks the charisma needed to fully engage the audience. I would recommend skipping this one, but if you’re still a fan of this formulaic style, you can give it a watch.
