This series, adapted from a novel with an intriguing title, initially suggests a plot filled with family secrets and mysteries. It leads viewers to anticipate a story with hidden depths, especially considering the current trend of such plots. However, the narrative falls short of delivering any significant depth. Set in an era saturated with similar storylines, the series follows the typical trajectory of parents trying to assist their daughter, who becomes a prime suspect in a murder case.

Throughout the series, the plot the parents’ efforts to clear their daughter’s name, involving the manipulation and destruction of evidence, as well as the presentation of false testimonies. These elements almost serve as the story’s main clues, hinting at whether or not the daughter is the real culprit. However, disappointingly, the series places this crucial revelation at the very end, hoping to create a dramatic and unexpected twist. Instead, it turns out to be a scene that is overly simplistic and mundane, leaving the audience feeling deceived.

The series attempts to narrate the story of a daughter who experienced sexual assault in the past, leading her mother, a law professor, to believe that reporting the incident may not be advisable. This narrative becomes an emotional wound for the daughter and prompts reflections on a main murder case. Legal elements are incorporated into the storyline, with the mother using legal strategies to help her daughter. However, these legal aspects do not contribute to significant depth or create intriguing plot twists. While the series touches on the emotional impact on the daughter and introduces legal maneuvering, it falls short of providing the depth or twists that one might expect.

The storyline attempts to portray a father who is a pastor discovering the hidden abnormalities of his daughter, along with his wife’s affair with a lawyer. However, he must keep silent, causing his soul to suffer as if being tested by God. The narrative, though, does not delve into this aspect deeply because the plot is scattered, telling the stories of the father, mother, and daughter separately. It also goes on to narrate the relationship between the daughter and her boyfriend, gradually unfolding how they became a couple and exploring the reasons behind the murder case. Which makes the entire story somewhat prolonged and seems to be a typical narrative of a handsome young man deceiving an ordinary girl. However, it spends a considerable amount of time, spanning six episodes, to tell this tale.

 

In summary, this series is highly disappointing, with a plot that is both prolonged and very ordinary. It differs from its title, which might mislead viewers into thinking there are hidden and mysterious elements, but in reality, there are none. It merely reflects a societal story of parents trying to protect their ordinary child, and that’s all.
